Day 1: Arrival in Emeishan
- Arrive at Emeishan city, the gateway to Mount Emei.
- Check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the city. You can visit Baoguo Temple, one of the largest Buddhist temples in Emeishan, or explore the local markets and try some local cuisine.
Day 2: Emeishan City - Leidongping - Jieyin Hall - Wannian Temple
- Take a bus or taxi to Leidongping, the starting point of the hike to Mount Emei's summit.
- Begin your hike from Leidongping to Jieyin Hall. This section of the hike is challenging but rewarding, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and forests.
- Continue your hike from Jieyin Hall to Wannian Temple. This section is relatively easier and will take you through lush green forests and ancient temples.
- Stay overnight at Wannian Temple, where you can experience the tranquility of the mountain.
Day 3: Wannian Temple - Qingyin Pavilion - Golden Summit
- Continue your hike from Wannian Temple to Qingyin Pavilion. This section of the hike is famous for its stunning waterfalls and picturesque scenery.
- From Qingyin Pavilion, take the cable car or continue hiking to the Golden Summit. The Golden Summit is the highest peak of Mount Emei and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
- Visit the famous Huazang Temple and explore the summit area. Stay overnight at the hotels near the Golden Summit.
Day 4: Golden Summit - Leidongping - Emeishan City
- Watch the sunrise from the Golden Summit if weather permits. The sunrise over the sea of clouds is a surreal and unforgettable experience.
- Descend from the summit to Leidongping. You can choose to hike or take the cable car down depending on your preference.
- Return to Emeishan city and end your adventure at Mount Emei.
